Notes	Four skeletons unearthed during the excavation carried out in the Karaoğlan mound under the direction of Remzi O. Arık on behalf of the Turkish Historical Society in 1937 and 1938 have been sent to our Institute for examination. According to the information we obtained from the excavator's report, Karaoğlan mound is 25-27 km from Ankara. It is seen as a large settlement in the south, at the foot of Elma Mountain, in the village of this name. It bears traces of settlement from the Chalcolithic age to the time of the Ottomans and preserves the ruins of successive civilizations. In this respect, it is an important archaeological station that illuminates the cultural history of Anatolia. The mound is at an altitude of 1000-1200 meters and is 210-250 meters long, 160-180 meters wide, 18-20 meters high at the base and extends from the south-east to the north-west.
