Notes I attended the excavations in Kültepe for two days. I saw the excavation method on site. I talked to the excavator about the program and read one hundred and twenty of the tablets obtained during this excavation and made temporary transcriptions. I feel pleasure and satisfaction that Karum Kanish could and will be saved; Because the excavations, which were hastily carried out by the villagers on the one hand and Hrozny on the other, were not very different from a theft excavation, and also because the results had not been published to this day and probably would not be published, I had always feared that this magnificent old center had been spoiled and lost. But now, leaving aside the minor destructions, the fact that we have learned that Karum can be restored as ashes in a completely scientific manner is the first and most important result of this successful excavation.
