Notes	Byzantine chroniclers, who talk about the proto-Bulgarians' acceptance of Christianity, describe in great detail the event of the Bulgarians abandoning paganism and becoming Christians. But none of them say anything about the nature of this idolatry. However, coincidentally, due to completely different events, some Byzantine sources mention some Proto-Bulgarian beliefs and religious customs.
