Notes
The fact that Kırşehir is located on an old caravan route connecting the centers of Istanbul - Ankara - Baghdad - Damascus and Egypt has provided this city with a suitable location in terms of finding development opportunities. This caravan route cuts the southward curve of the Kızılırmak River at two points; and at each cutting point there is a magnificent and old bridge. Here, Kırşehir is located in an oasis between these two old bridges and approximately 190 kilometers south-east of Ankara, covering an area of approximately 20 kilometers along the Kılıçözü River, one of the branches of Kızılırmak.
