Notes	In the summer of 1949, Prof. Dr. H.Th. Bossert is 50 km from Adana. He went to Karataş, located in the south and by the sea, with his students to examine the ruins of Magarsos, the largest port city of Cilicia, and the first idea about the ruins was obtained with the studies at that time. On the other hand, efforts were made to find the old city of Mallos, which was also localized as Karataş by some scholars. However, from the inscriptions collected by us in 1949, it was understood that Mallos should not be looked for in Karataş. The old city of Magarsos, famous for the temple of Athena, about whose cult we obtained extremely interesting information thanks to a long marble inscription we found in 1949, was called "Antiocheia on the banks of Pyramos" during the Ptolemaic period, but this place was never called Mallos. Again, although many inscriptions belonging to the city of Mallos were found by us in Magarsos, it is understood that these were votive inscriptions prepared for the temples of Magarsos.
