Notes	R. J. Braidwood, who participated in the excavations of the Chicago Oriental Institute in the Amik Plain as an archaeologist and worked on the first cultures unearthed there, stopped by Ankara on his way to Iraq in December 1947 and had professional meetings with our experts and especially those working in his field. Moreover, he gave a controversial conference at the Faculty of Languages, History and Geography about the first civilizations brought to light by the Amik Plain excavations, which have not yet been published and which the scientific world has eagerly awaited.
