Notes	The first news about the existence of a monument known as "Arslantaş" in the Karatepe forest area in the south-east of the Kadirli district of Seyhan province, came from Prof. Prof. during a trip on behalf of the "Istanbul University Research Institute of Ancient Near-Asian Cultures" in the autumn of 1945, in order to examine the side Taurus passageway connecting Kayseri to Southern Anatolia and Syria during the Neo-Hittite State. Bossert, Dr. Taken by H. Çambel, N. Ongunsu and M. Darga. Although Ali Rıza Yalgın had previously stated that the place where the monument was located was an important ruin, based on an oral statement, the tour committee became aware of this publication after seeing the monument on site in 1946.
