Notes	It started its publication life as a result of the Ministry of Education's decision to contribute by publishing documents to the history-literature studies and magazine publications carried out by the Republican administration mostly through official institutions and universities in order to establish the national culture, support the Sun-Language theory and instill Turkish awareness. The first issue was published in 1941 under the auspices of the then Minister of Education, Hasan Âli Yücel. Hasan Âli Yücel, who wrote the foreword of the magazine, explained the purpose of publication as knowing the meaning and experiences of humanity's life from its deepest past until today, preparing the opportunity for the spread and expansion of Turkish culture with this understanding and view, bringing to light all the traces of our past, seeing our history through the eyes of others and getting rid of the cultural captivity with the national history mentality.
