MONTHLY MAGAZINE
Monthly Magazine, which started its publication life after the proclamation of the Republic and before the alphabet reform, is a 12-issue magazine published between April 1926 and March 1927. Monthly Magazine, which was published by Kemal Salih in order to publish a monthly version of Weekly Magazine, which he started publishing in 1925, played an active role in the transition to modern life and in conveying the revolutions to the public. While naming the magazine, the emergence of weekly and monthly magazines, which have become widespread recently, was taken into consideration and the name "Monthly" was given, indicating the publication period. In the article titled "First Word" in the first issue of Monthly Magazine, there is no need to introduce the magazine to the readers because it is stated that Monthly Magazine, which was published after taking the opinions of Weekly Magazine readers, does not need to make promises about the future like new publications. Monthly Magazine is the sister of a magazine that is very popular in the country and has gained the attention of readers. Therefore, instead of making promises about the future, he starts his broadcast by pointing out his past successes. (issue:1, p. 1)
