Turkish Women's magazine, published from the last period of the First World War until the first months of the occupation period, falls right in the middle of the first wave feminist movement. In this period when nationalism was a rising value, names such as Şükûfe Nihâi and Müfide Ferid, important feminists of the period, also wrote for the magazine, which had both a nationalist and male-dominated discourse. However, rather than improving women's rights, the magazine deals with issues such as increasing women's education level and the role of women in the face of social disintegration.
