The responsible director of the magazine is Âgâh Mazlum. From the announcements on the back cover, it is understood that the magazine has domestic and international subscribers.
Mihrab is a magazine that does not contain pictures, does not mention politics, contains mainly philosophical articles, and contains academic articles based on darülfünun on subjects such as poetry, essays, translations, novels, medicine, history, geography, theology, ethnography, ethics, sociology and psychology. This identity reveals an important aspect of the magazine in terms of the East-West, old-new, matter-spirit struggle continuing intensely in Turkey, the interpretation of the events, what path a new structuring would follow, and how the events were handled by the intellectuals of the period. The names included in the magazine are well-known figures in their fields, both in those years and in the following periods. Especially those who write in the fields of philosophy, sociology and history are sociologists, philosophers and historians who are known among those who direct the scientific and intellectual world of the period. Philosophy writings of Mehmet Emin (Erişirgil), Yusuf Ziya (Yörükân), Babanzâde Reşid, Mustafa Şekip (Tunç); Ziyaeddin Fahri (Fındıkoğlu), Ahmed Hikmet (Müftüoğlu), Abdülhak Hadi sociology; Mükrimin Halil (Yinanç), Hilmi Ziya (Ülken), Yusuf Ziya (Yörükân) and M. Şerefettin (Yaltkaya) wrote the historical articles. Regarding Sufism and the history of Sufism, articles by Hüseyin Şemi, Babanzâde Reşid and İzmirli İsmail Hakkı can be seen.
