A total of 423 issues were published between 11 May 1311–7 August 1319 (23 May 1895–20 August 1903) and were published by Mehmed Tâhir, known as Baba Tâhir in the history of the Turkish press.

Ma'lûmât, one of the leading scientific, scientific and literary content magazines of the Abdulhamid era, played an important role in the development of literary and cultural activities at a time when various groups emerged in Turkish literature at the time it was published. In the first issue of the magazine, which was also known as Musavver Ma'lûmât because it contained some pictures and photographs, unlike other magazines of the period, its purpose was explained as follows: and readers will be informed of all foreign activities; The works and personalities of well-known local and foreign writers in the literary field will be introduced, and the latest news about what is happening in the world will be given; New discoveries and important political events will also be evaluated from a certain perspective.
