Sample Text	Studies in the literature show the widespread impact of regulatory focuses on consumer behavior. Many different scales can be used to measure regulatory focus, and researchers must choose between these scales. This study compares four frequently used regulatory focuses scales (DOA - Higgins et al., 2001; KYOÖ - Lockwood et al., 2002; DOKF - Cunningham et al., 2005; DİS/DAS - Carver and White, 1994) with a survey conducted with 299 participants. The validity and reliability of the scales were tested, and it was also examined whether the scales measured the same concepts with an exploratory factor analysis in which all scales were combined. Findings indicate that there are validity, reliability and conceptual differences between the scales and that regulatory focuses may have more than one dimension. This study creates a vision for creating a more comprehensive regulatory focus scale. Studies in literature point out to the widespread impact of regulatory focus on consumer behavior. This study compares the 4 scales (RFQ - Higgins et al., 2001; Lockwood et al., 2002; Cunningham et al., 2005; BAS/BIS - Carver and White, 1994) that have been widely used in the literature through a survey study with 299 participants. The validity and reliability of the scales have been tested. In addition, all the scales have been combined for an exploratory factor analysis to test whether the scales in fact measure the same dimensions. The findings indicate that there are significant differences among the scales in terms of validity, reliability, and conceptual dimensions. Furthermore, the findings indicate the possibility of several sub-dimensions that measure regulatory focus. This study provides a vision for the construction of a new regulatory focus scale.
