Sample Text Legal norms and how these norms are implemented are important in the fight against gender-based violence as a human rights violation. The fact that the judiciary acts from a patriarchal prior understanding when interpreting the norms in cases related to domestic violence violates the principle of impartiality of the judiciary. In this study, the seemingly neutral patriarchal bias will be criticized through some examples of decisions given in the courts of the Republic of Turkey., Legal norms and their implementation is vital in the combat against gender based violence as a form violation of human rights. While interpreting the legal norms in legal disputes, the judiciary violates the impartiality principal of the judicial system as it acts based on patriarchal prejudices. In this work the critical analysis of the patriarchal approach under the disguise of neutrality will be made based upon a number of court decisions rendered in the courts of Republic of Turkey.
