| Notes | The button seal published here was discovered in the summer of 1936 by the Turkish Alaca mound excavation team in Çelebi Bağdat, which is located to the south west of Ataca Höyük. I would like to thank the Turkish Historical Society for commissioning these excavations and Dr. I would like to sincerely thank Hamit Koşay for his service in the publication of this piece. The seal is made of black serpenti. In terms of shape, it is in the well-known form, like other button seals in Alişar. It is the same size and slightly domed on both sides. Since the seal is pierced in the direction of a line passing through its center point, it can be carried with a rope. |
