Notes How enjoyable, exciting, but how difficult it is to write a few lines about the life of the Great Man, to whose memory not only the Turkish world but the whole world bows with respect and love, and to highlight some of his characteristics in these lines! Such a work is very enjoyable and exciting as it gives the opportunity to be alone with his memory, but how difficult and responsible it is to make his personality, which does not fit into the usual standards, come to light as it was. For this reason, I am content to convey only some of my own impressions and opinions about Atatürk, who spent his life as openly and publicly as possible, and who always felt great pleasure in living alone with and among the people.
