Ataturk University
Founded in 1957, Atatürk University is one of the largest universities in Eastern Anatolia in Erzurum. The university library attracts attention not only with its current academic resources but also with its rich collection of manuscripts. Ottoman documents, Arabic religious texts and Persian literary works are preserved within the library, digitized and presented to researchers. The library, which is an important center for regional history studies, stands out especially with documents related to the eastern provinces of the Ottoman Empire. Thus, it provides the opportunity for local and foreign researchers to discover the historical heritage of Anatolia.
