The "Digitized Collections" of the Berlin State Library (SBB) include historical editions, manuscripts and personal archives (inheritances), partly from ongoing projects. The numerical weight of the collection consists of works from all branches published in the German-speaking geography between the 16th and 19th centuries, as well as works from East Asia (Ostasiatica), both in their original languages ​​and in Western languages. In the archive, especially prints in the field of theology and law, funeral manuscripts and children's books stand out; It also includes a significant part of the 1914-1918 War collection, the prints of which can also be accessed in full text. These digitized editions are accompanied by a significant number of manuscripts, now mostly non-European and musical manuscripts, but also including a selection of Western manuscripts. The collection, which also includes personal archive materials of names such as Alexander von Humboldt, Adelbert von Chamisso and Gerhart Hauptmann, is constantly enriched with individual objects digitized in line with user demands. In addition to searching through bibliographic data, section headings, and available full texts, users can also explore this extensive collection by systematically scanning multiple content categories.
