The Jacob M. Landau Collection

The "Jacob M. Landau Collection", located within the Martin Luther University of Halle-Wittenberg and the Saxony-Anhalt State Library (ULB Halle), is owned by the famous researcher Prof. It consists of rare works purchased from Jacob M. Landau's personal library in 2003. This collection, which includes approximately 3,000 volumes of primary sources and secondary literature focusing on the history of the late Ottoman Empire and modern Türkiye, has been cataloged with the support of the German Research Foundation (DFG), and a significant part of it has been digitized and made available through the open access platform "MENAdoc" (opendata.uni-halle.de). This digital archive; While it is a critical resource for Middle Eastern, North African and Islamic studies, it strongly supports academic studies in the field of Ottoman and Turkish history with modern digital tools by providing researchers with global online access to high-resolution texts.
