Qatar Digital Library
Qatar Digital Library, one of the world's largest online archives dedicated to Middle Eastern history and culture, was established in 2014 as a result of a long-established partnership between Qatar Foundation, Qatar National Library and the British Library. It offers rich historical resources (archival documents, maps, audio recordings) on the politics, people, trade and traditions of the Gulf region and the wider Middle East, with explanations in both English and Arabic, free to everyone. The platform aims to improve understanding of the modern history of the Gulf and the cultural heritage of the Islamic world through a selection of important Arabic scientific manuscripts digitized from the British Library collections and covering subjects such as medicine, mathematics, astronomy and engineering.
