Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye National Library

The Presidential National Library, which opened its doors on February 20, 2020, following the work initiated in 2015 under the leadership of our President, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, serves as the country's largest information and cultural center with a seating capacity of 5,500 people in an area of ​​125,000 m². The library, which hosts a total of 5,048,493 printed resources, including 2,168,302 books in 134 different languages ​​and 2,948,290 periodicals of 25,017 printed magazines, also attracts attention with its richness of digital resources. An unlimited universe of information is offered to researchers with more than 300 million articles and reports from 1,218,475 e-books, 7,901,681 electronic theses and 112,153 e-journals in the 73 main databases accessible. In addition, since 2020, 103,350 books, 136 million documents and 567,000 notebooks in the collection of the Directorate of State Archives have been made available for digital access, thus taking its place among the world's leading libraries. With the integration of the inventory of the Presidential National Library and the Directorate of State Archives, the number of publications such as books, documents, notebooks, slides and maps made available to researchers has reached 141,718,843 in total, carrying a unique cultural heritage to the future.
