Asnad

The platform known as “Asnad” is a digital resource center that brings together written documents from the Middle East and makes them available to researchers. Ottoman, Arabic and Persian documents scattered in different libraries are cataloged and made accessible through Asnad. The collection covers a wide range from official documents of the Ottoman bureaucracy to personal correspondence, from foundation deeds to literary texts. In this respect, it serves as a valuable digital library for historians, philologists and cultural researchers.
