The codex of which this is a copy was written between the years 1048-1050 by a priest named Vicente for the use of the Mozarabic churches of Spain and, particularly, of a bishop named ʼAbd al-Malik, • Text in Arabic, some marginal apostille in Spanish, • Title taken from the spine, • It is a copy of the Mss. Arabic 1623 from the El Escorial Library that was previously in the National Library, with the signature Mss/4879 and olim Gg132, • Copied by Pablo Elías Hodar on behalf of Juan de Santander, Chief Librarian of the National Library. He finished the copy on July 22, 1767. This copy was compared with the original and corrected by Elías Scidiac and Pablo Lozano, • Original pagination in ink. The v. 1 to p. 848 and v. 2 from 849 to 1374 plus 229 p. index, • Marginal and interlinear corrections, occasional additions of paper fragments with readings that correct the text, • V. 1 One h. added between p. 315 and 316, page 315bis and 315ter.
