Collation: 7 V(70), II+1 (75) ; chiefly quinions ; a number of leaves not original, but replacement leaves ; catchwords present ; pagination in pencil, Western numerals, supplied during digitization (includes insert).
Layout: Written mainly in 15 lines per page (original) ; replacement leaves in 13-20 lines per page.
Script: Naskh ; two main Turkish or Persian hands, original and that supplying text of replacement leaves ; original hand mainly serifless, with slight effect of tilt to the left, curvilinear descenders, freely ligatured and thoroughly vocalized ; replacement hand serifless with pointing in distinct dots, some elongation of horizontal strokes, kāf mashkūlah (mashqūqah) preferred, and many open counters.
Decoration: Some section headings rubricated ; textual dividers in the form of three inverted commas in red.
Support: Mainly non-European laid paper with 8 laid lines per cm. (vertical), chain lines visible and apparently grouped (perhaps in threes with roughly 39 mm. between groups), well-burnished and sturdy though not especially thick ; replacement leaves in European laid paper with 11 laid lines per cm. (vertical), chain lines spaced 22-25 mm. apart (horizontal), and three hats watermark (compare Heawood 2595-2599).

Former shelfmark: From spine label and inscription on interior of upper cover, "IL 154 " (likely supplied by Yahuda, see Acquisitions slip).
Accompanying materials: Acquisitions slip from Yahuda (paginated pp.1-2).
Origin: Lacks dated colophon ; paper suggests 16th or early 17th century.
