Collation: ii, IV-1 (7), 11 IV(95), IV-1 (102), ii; almost exclusively quaternions; catchwords present; pagination in pencil, Western numerals, supplied during digitization (includes inserts and some flyleaves). Layout: Written in 6 lines per page; frame-ruled. Script: Naskh ; elegant Persian hand; Virtually serifless with curvilinear descenders, pointing in distinct dots, occasional sweeping tails, etc. ; glosses in nastaʻlīq. Decoration: Keywords, section headings and some abbreviation symbols rubricated; Occasionally overlining in red. Support: non-European (likely Persian or Indian) laid paper with 8 laid lines per cm. (horizontal and vertical, varies) and occasional single chain lines visible (see p.12, 70, etc.); Medium cream in color, translucent, sturdy and well-burnished. Binding: Boards covered in block-printed paper (pinwheel with star pattern in blue and black on a white, blue-spotted ground) with dark brown leather over spine (quarter binding); Type III binding (without flap); board linings in untinted paper; sewn in dark blue thread, four stations; worked chevron endbands in brown and yellow, good condition; overall in fair condition with abrasion, staining, etc. Former shelfmark: From inner front cover and spine label, "IL 113" (likely supplied by Yahuda, see acquisitions slip).
