Notes Ms. codex. Title from inscription on 'title page' (p.1) and colophon on p.95. Collation: VI-1 (7), 2 IV(23), I (25), 2 IV(41), III+1 (48) ; chiefly quaternions ; catchwords present ; pagination in pencil, Western numerals, supplied during digitization. Layout: Written in 23 lines per page. Script: Naskh ; compact Caucasian (Azeri) [?] hand ; virtually serifless with slight effect of tilt to left and of words descending to baseline, mainly closed counters, pointing in distinct dots, descenders mainly curvilinear. Decoration: Keywords, abbreviations (sigla), and vocalization (for the verses being commented upon) rubricated. Support: non-European laid paper with 4-5 laid lines per cm. (vertical) and single chain lines (horizontal) spaced around 90 mm. apart ; quite cloudy formation, sturdy and well-burnished ; some staining and tide lines ; some repairs. Binding: Pasteboards covered in marbled paper (mainly in blue, yellow and red) with brown leather over spine, fore edge flap, and edges/turn-ins (framed binding) ; Type II binding (with flap) ; board linings in olive green paper ; sewn in blue thread, two stations ; overall in fair condition with some abrasion, staining, lifting and losses of leather at board edges and fore edge flap, etc. Former shelfmark: From interior of upper cover and label on lower cover "IL 390" (likely supplied by Yahuda, see acquisitions slip). Accompanying materials: Acquisitions slip from Yahuda. Origin: As appears in colophon on p.95, copied by ʻAlī ibn Chak al-Sachdī [?] (Ali b. Çek es-Seçti) with transcription completed 957 [1550 or 51]. Shelfmark: Ann Arbor, University of Michigan, Special Collections Research Center, Isl. Ms. 639. Incipit: "الحمد لله نحمده ونستعينه ونعوذ بك من شرور انفسنا ومن سيئات اعمالنا ... فيقول احقر العباد وافقرهم المستعيذ بالله من عقابه الاليم احمد بن محمد بن ابي بكر غفر الله لهم ... رويت القصيدة المباركة الموسومة بالكواكب الدرية المسماة بالبردة النبوية المنسوبة الى الامام العلامة ابي عبد الله محمد بن سعيد الدلاصي البوصيري عن الشيخ ..."
