Book titles printed from woodblocks, text enclosed within double rules. Privilege of Sultan Murad III of the Ottoman Empire on p. 453, issued from Constantinople in 996 AH (1588 Gregorian calendar). Made from the Original version of the astronomer Nasir-al-Din in 1260 A.D Chapter 7 is misnumbered (in the printed script heading) as Chapter 9 on pages 169-184. Noticed by Ali Hakami, student of Cynthia Huffman, Pittsburg State. 4/21/17. Signatures: [A-Z⁴, a-z⁴, Aa-Ll⁴], [Ll]4 blank. Catalogue of Arabic books in the British Museum, I p. 515. Thomas-Stanford, Charles. Early editions of Euclid's Elements, 46a. Purchase; 19740411. LHL copy in untrimmed, folded gatherings, with some evidence of sewing at head, tail, and center of spine, in slipcase with brown morocco spine and paste paper over boards. MoKL LHL copy is from the issue with the first gathering set entirely in Arabic.
