Notes Begins with: (1b) Surah Al-Fatihah, the Book, which is seven Meccan verses. In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to God, Lord of the worlds, the Most Merciful, the Most Merciful, Master of the Day of Judgment. Thee we worship, and Thee we seek help. Guide us to the straight path, the path of those whom Thou hast bestowed, not of those of wrath nor of those who go astray. Ends with: (292b) In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Say, I seek refuge in the Lord of the people, the King of the people, the God of the people from evil. The deceitful whisperer who whispers in the hearts of people from heaven and humanity, Copyist note: (292b) The completion of this noble Qur’an occurred in the middle of Jumada al-Akhir in the year ninety-three and ninety-three at the hand of Bahram, who was weak and skinny and in need of the mercy of God Almighty. May God forgive him, his parents, and all the believing men and women, with your mercy, O Most Merciful of the Merciful [T]M. The manuscript is incomplete: the sūras 94-97, 100, and 101-113 are missing, The manuscript was bought by the Library from a private person in 1971.
