Notes Actually a paraphrase of Plotinus' Enneades, IV-VI. The Arabic version by Ibn Nā'imah appears to be based on a Syriac translation, attributed by Baumstark to Jōhannān of Apamea. cf. Oriens Christianus, II (1902), p. 187-191., Caption title: The book of the philosopher Aristotle, which in Greek is called Theologia ... is explained by the Tyrian Porphyrius. The same was translated into Arabic by the Christian Ibn 'Abdallah Nā'ima from Emessa and correctly produced for Achmed ibn al Mu'tasim billah by Abu Yosef Jacob ibn Ishāk, the Kendite.
