Sample Text
Collection of notes written in Arabic, describing the dreams and visions of various individuals, including the 3 visions of the Khalifa. These occasionally include simple translations of an event or date in English. It is worth noting that several of these dreams occur on or around the month of Ramadan, as well as one which states that it was a vision after the 'Battle of Kanari [?]'. Several of these dreams/visions have the name Babikr in their titles, which possibly refers to historical figure Babikr Bedri, a Sudanese warrior and social activist. Some also have 'Khalifa: Mahdia' in their titles, which likely refers to the Islamic Mahdist state in place in Sudan during this time period and resisted colonial rule, lead by Muhammad Ahmad bin Abd Allah (Mahdi), a Sufi religious leader.
