Taḍkirat al Kaḥḥalin ... was purchased in Damascus for me by Prof. Rustum of the American University of Beirut about Sept. 1934.”, Maqalah 1, chapters 4 and 5 were omitted by the copyist., Copied in 1260/1844 for Muḥyī al-Dīn Daqqāq. Quires are signed (kurrās plus numeral) on verso of each opening folio., Dimensions of text block: 135 x 90 mm, 14 lines per page. Written in a Syrian or Egyptian hand, mostly in black ink on laid European paper with a watermark: three crescents. Half-bound., Manuscript., Incipit: “I sent a letter to Isa bin Ali (such) in response to what some of his brothers asked about defining eye diseases... Your letter has arrived, dear brother...”
