First of a trilogy of official Ottoman histories published by Ibrāhīm, this portion covering the years 1000 (1591/92) to 1070 (1659/60).! Muṣṭafá Naʻima, official historian, is considered the best and most accurate historiographer. Volume 1 covers 1001-1050 (1592-1640), while volume 2 covers 1051-1070 (1641-1659), and the supplement (leaves 712-726 in vol. 2) describes the revolution of 1115/1703 which overthrew Muṣṭafá II.
