It is a Persian-Turkish dictionary consisting of fifty-eight stanzas in different meters, written for the two sons of Grand Vizier Halil Hamid Pasha. The work was very popular because it included Persian words and expressions that were not found in previous dictionaries, and was taught as a textbook in madrasahs and secondary schools.
