At the end of the colophon, the scribe notes that he copied from a text which might not be correct.Collation: Paper ; fol. 23 + i ; catchwords; modern foliation in pencil using Western numerals.Layout: 23 lines per page.Description: A few folios tinted very pale yellow; edges trimmed with folio 23 folded to preserve text ; watermarks ; MS in good condition.Origin: According to colophon copy completed 7 Rabīʻ al-Awwal 1262 by ʻAlī ibn al-Ḥasan al-Ṭarābūzānī (fol. 23a).Incipit: In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful. Praise be to God who sent down the Book to His servant... Then the poor man says to God, the technician, Abdullah Ibn Othman. Where is Musa, known as Mustaji Zadeh... On the disputes of the sages with the theologians and the disputes of the Ash'aris with the Maturidites... Colophon: The book was completed with the help of God, King Wahhab, at the hands of the poorest student at whose door Ali ibn al-Hasan al-Tarabuzani appointed in the year one thousand two hundred and sixty-two, after seven days of the month of Rabi` al-Awwal, on a Thursday between noon and afternoon, God granted him what he wished for. I have edited this copy from the copy whose statement I did not rely on for the accuracy of it, and I hope that the observers will not accuse me of being indifferent to it - Later quarter-bound type III (without flap) binding in brown material and blue paper with block-pressed design. - A treatise on the controversies between the philosophers and the scholars, and between the Ashʻarites and the Māturīdites.
