Cream paper, glossy, with laid and chain lines visible. Fol. 1-3 and 147 are later additions (European paper with watermarks). Interlinear and marginal ḥāshiyah. Table of contents on fol. 1b-2a. Several inscriptions and short excerpts on fol. 4a. Foliation in black ink using Arabic numerals (starts with "1" on fol. 5a). Water stains and damage with some loss of marginal text.Inscriptions in Arabic script on the pastedown of the upper cover: "Ḥ 1393" (on a label); "504" (in red pencil). Inscription in Arabic script black pencil on fol. 1a: "240 Kanz al-daqāʼiq".Origin: According to colophon, copy completed in Ramaḍān 873 [March-April 1469] by Khalīl ibn Ṭūrīlī(?) (fol. 142b, with two lines of poetry; copyist's name added at the end)Incipit: الحمد لله الذى اعزّ العلم فى الاعصار واعلى ... قال مولانا الحبر التحرير صاحب البيان والبنان فى التقري والتحري كاشف المشكلات والمعضلات مبيّن الكنايات والاشارات منبع العلى علم الهدى ... حافظ الحق والملة والدين شمس الاسلام والمسلمين وارث علوم الانبياء والمرسلين ابو البركات عبد الله ابن احمد ابن محمود النسفى افاض الله عليه انوار رحمته وتغمّده بغفرانه لما رايت الهمم مايلة الى المختصرات والطباع راغبة عن المطولات اردت [5أ] ان الخّص الوفى بذكر ما عمّ وقوعه وكثر وجوده لتكثر فايدتهExplicit: بين كتفيه الى وسط الظهر وللشابّ العالم ان يتقدّم على الشيخ الجاهل ولحافظ القرأن ان يختم فى اربعين يوما تمت الكتاب - Dark brown leather binding with flap. The text is followed on fol. 143a-146b by several short texts written by another hand than the main text , in Arabic and Ottoman Turkish: Bāb sharḥ duʻāʼ ... (in Turkish), Bāb isqāṭ al-ṣalāh (in Turkish), Kitāb al-farāʼiḍ, Kitāb al-qaḍāyā.
