Notes
Ms. codex.Title from fol. 2a.Ms. erroneously foliated 1-103 beginning on fol. 2. Record follows erroneous foliation.Physical description: 14 lines per page; written in nastaʻliq in black on glazed, laid European paper. Rubication and catchwords; a few marginal notes. Ms. is defective: several lacunae and bound incorrectly. Text should be bound as follows: fol. 1-22, 39-46, 23-38, 79-86, 47-78, 87-105. Lacunae after fol. 6, 78, 86, 87. Some foxing and fol. 2 partially torn out.Origin: Copy completed in 1241 H. [1825 or 6]. (fol. 103a).Incipit: الحمد لله الذي اوضح لنا طريق العمل بنصب الاعلام - Green cloth binding; white pastedowns. - An abridgment of the translation of Muḥammad ibn ʻAlī al-Mujāhid's Iṣlāḥ al-ʻamal, a work on Shiʻite law. In the introduction (fol. 1b-2a), the author states that the text consists of three maqṣid (ṭahārat, ṣalāh, ṣawm), but maqṣid 4 on ḥajj begins on fol. 99b, and fol. 87 discusses khums. This does not completely match with the description given by Āghā Buzurg (XXI, 112), who describes five maṭlab covering ṭahārah, ṣalāh, ṣawm, zakāh, and khums. However, the incipits, authors, and descriptions are otherwise identical.
