Ms. codex.Title from fol. 3a.Physical description: 35 lines per page; written in small naskh in black on glazed, laid European paper. Text framed in red. Rubrication and catchwords; extensive marginal notes. Smudged illuminated ʻunwān on fol. 1b; each rükn is headed by a crude gold ʻunwān. Paginated in Arabic script. Fol. 353-358 detached. Extensive staining; some mildewing and insect damage. Edges ragged and some paper repairs.Origin: The middle of Dhū al-Ḥijjah 1084 H [March 1674] (fol. 359a).Incipit: لك الحمد يا واهب العطا و يا كاشف الغطا لك البقاء و منك التقا - Full black leather with flap; blind-stamped central decoration. Spine and edges repaired. - Turkish translation of Muʻīn al-Dīn Farāhī's biography of the Prophet Muḥammad. The text is preceded by favaid (fol. ib-via) and a fihrist which is dated 12[4]1 H (vol. viib-xiib).
