Notes Ms. codex.Title from rubric on fol. 1b.Physical description: 18 lines per page. Written in nastaʻlīq in black ink with use of red. The text is framed in ruled lines in blue, red and gold. Dark cream to biscuit paper, friable, with laid lines visible. Fol. 1-2 mended, with loss of text. Several inscriptions including ownership statements on fol. 1a and 222b. Mainly quaternions.Decoration: Illuminated headpiece and bandeau with a flower scroll on fol. 1a (partly wanting).Inscription in Arabic script on a label pasted on the pastedown of the upper cover: "Y39" (repeated in inscription in red pencil on fol. 1a).Origin: According to colophon, copy completed on 5 Jumādá al-Akhar ?30 [probably 930] (fol. 221b, partly wanting). Between the repairs, one can read the name "ʻAbd al-Jalīl al-Harawī".Incipit: نحميدى كه شاه باز بلند برواز انديشه بساحت وفضاى [---] تواند نمودExplicit: بيت از ان پشتر كاو[---] ولايت ستان باش وآفاق كير يرحم ا[---] قال اميانا مصلحت آنست كه كتاب [---] بادشاه اسلام ختم كردانيم تمت الكتاب - Dark brown leather over paper pasteboards. The covers are blind tooled with a panel left plain defined by fillets and a running pattern consisting of impressions of a s-shaped stamp. Fabric doublure. - Biographical dictionary of Persian poets through the 15th century. A final chapter contains a history of the Persian state in the author's time.
