Notes Letter regarding a parcel for Mrs Charlotte Barton Beynon which has been left at Colonel William's bungalow; his arrival in Jeypore [Jaipur]; the condition of Pelly's boxes and shouldarees (light tents) and the steps he intends to take to protect them.The letter also informs Pelly that Jameer Khan is proceeding to Ajmere [Ajmer] by Camel Carriage and enquiring what Pelly's instructions are with regard to Khan's pay.Enclosed with the letter is a list of packages belonging to Sir Lewis Pelly which are in safekeeping at the Residency in Jeypore [Jaipur].The list gives some details of the contents of some of the boxes and whether or not they have been sealed and is signed by the Political Agents there Samuel Swinton Jacob and William Howell Beynon, dated 20 November 1874. | 3 folios | more | less
