A treatise on the use of the astrolabe by the Andalusian astronomer and mathematician Abū al-Qāsim Aṣbagh ibn Muḥammad al-Gharnāṭī Ibn al-Samḥ (Abu al-Qasim Asbagh ibn Muhammad al-Gharnati ibn al-Samh, 979-1035). The text is divided into 130 sections (sections). A list of the sections and their titles is found on ff. 25v-28v. This copy is defective at the end, and ends abruptly during section 139 (see ending, f. 55v, lines 17-19, transcribed below). On the description of the astrolabe, the naming of its parts, and its layout...Ends (f. 55v, lines 17-19):... The chapter is about knowing the position of the sun by a circle working on the back of the astrolabe. He made two circles (?) in Talil (?)
