Notes	Alexandrian Summary (Mosques of the Alexandrians) of Galen's (Galen; d. ca 216) De anatomicis administrationibus(Περὶ ἀνατομικῶν ἐγχειρήσεων τῶν σωζομένων βιβλία ἐννέα) translated from the Greek by Ḥunayn ibn Isḥāq (Hunayn ibn Ishaq; d. 873). The Arabic title of this summarised version is Fī al-tashrīḥ lil-muta‘allimīn (On Anatomy for Learners).The text is divided into five books:Book One: On the Anatomy of Bones 256r-275v);[Book Three:] On the Anatomy of Nerves for Students Arteries (Completes of Galen's book on the anatomy of multiplying veins; ff. 288v-291r).Begins (f. 239v, lines 11-13): Some of the bones are large and some are small. Some of the large bones are hollow and some are solid and have no cavity. Some of the hollow bones have a wide cavity and some have a narrow cavity...Ends (f. 291r, lines) 2-6): ...And the sweat that comes up goes to the fifth vertebra, and the sweat that goes up to the pulp, and the two sweats that go up to the armpit, and the two veins known as the hibernating veins, and the veins that go to the veil, and the first branch that goes to the liver, spleen, stomach, and intestines... Colophon (f. 291r, lines 6-9):... The Alexandrian compilations of the fifth article from Galen’s book on the anatomy of the perverse veins, may God give many praise and blessings to its author.
