Notes Part of a power of attorney, c. 1025 CE, in Tyre, in which the young lady Dukr appoints her father, David ha-Levi (who is called Abū Naṣr) b. Isaac ha-Levi, as her agent while he is absent in Egypt. Due to his absence, this appointment is accepted on his behalf by Moses b. Sībāʿa and Aaron ha-Kohen b. Faraj, as witnessed by Dukr’s brother-in-law, ʿAdiya (who is called Abū Saʿīd) b. Manasseh ha-Nasi, and is to be delivered to him in Egypt so that he can arrange her marriage. Written and witnessed by Joseph ha-Kohen he-Ḥaver b. Jacob the scribe, Samuel ha-Kohen b. Wahb, Musāfir b. Simḥa, Joseph ha-Kohen b. Ephraim, ʿEli b.
