Notes
Philosophical treatise on ethics by Sinān ibn Thābit (Sinān ibn Thabit; d. 942). He devotes all his effort to perfecting himself and devotes himself to the utmost effort in seeking its completion. They are the ugliest of shortcomings in the One who is capable of perfection and inability to be able to achieve perfection. This is when we conclude the statement about morals: Praise be to God, thanks for the gift, and He is sufficient for me, trusting in Him and knowledge of returning to Him. Colophon (f. 31v, lines 12-14): The message of the politics of souls has been accomplished by Sunan bin Thabit bin Qurrah Al-Harrani. Praise be to God, Lord of the worlds, and He is my dependent.
