Notes
Letter from Judah the teacher, in Alexandria, to Abraham Maimonides, sent in the Spring of 1217 CE. He had previously had to report his uncle Zadok the cantor for spending too much time drinking wine, leaving Judah with all the duties associated with the synagogue. Judah now thanks Abraham for settling matters between his uncle and himself, and they are now drinking to each other’s health. | Condition: Faded | Layout: 39 lines + marginalia (recto); 49 lines + marginalia (verso) | more | less
