| Notes | Telegram regarding Sir Dinkar Rao having received assurances that a full native administration would be restored in Baroda following the enquiry prior to accepting his office as a member of the commission, and regarding his questions relating to the possible need for a new native administration which the Viceroy had stated could not be responded to until the outcome of the enquiry was known. The telegram also states that the Viceroy had asked that Sir Dinkar Rao remain in Baroda after the completion of the enquiry to provide advice and opinion on any new administration that might be required, and requesting that should Sir Dinkar Rao discuss the matter again with Pelly that he respond that he cannot have such conversions until the enquiry is complete owing to Sir Dinkar's status as a member of it. | 1 folio | more | less |
