[A treatise on the ordinance of the “ Ṣalāt al-fajr,” or early morning prayer. To which are added three other works, namely : (1) Kitāb khalq afʻāl al-ʻibād, a collection of traditions bearing against the heresies of the sects of the Jahmīyah and Muʻaṭṭilah, with regard to human responsibility, compiled by Muḥammad ibn Ismāʻīl al-Bukhārī ; (2) Kitāb al-ʻulū, a collection of traditions relating to the altitude of the heavens and the divine throne, compiled by Muḥammad ibn Aḥmad al-Dhahabī ; and (3) al-Qawl al-muḥaqqiq, a treatise on the question of the lawfulness of castrating animals whose flesh is eatable, for the purpose of improving the same, composed in Persian by Muḥammad Shams al-Ḥaqq.].
