Purchased from Edwards of Halifax in 1788. In 1747 the manuscript was in the Bibliotheca Palmeriana, the library of Ralph Palmer of Little Chelsea, grandfather of the first Earl Verney (Ownership inscription on front flyleaf: "Bibliotheca Palmeriana, Londini, 1747."), On paper., 11 lines. First opening illuminated in green, pink, blue, silver and gold. Written in red and black ink. Text block double-ruled red with a single outside line of blue. Catchwords in black., 18th-century binding in red morroco with gilt tooling on front and spine and gilt edges. A pair of metal clasps on front and back boards. Gold titling on spine: Koran Arabice
