Translation of a mystical work written by Muwaffaq Ibn-Maǧd al-Ḫāṣṣī from Arabic into Ottoman Turkish. Abdurrahîm Karahisârî translated it into Iznik in 1453 and expanded it considerably in many places. Therefore it is considered his own work. In his preface, Karahisârî states that he made this translation on the orders of the Sufi sheikh Akşemseddîn (Ak Şemseddîn)., Islamic Ethics for Sufis: Ethics Manual for Members of Dervish Orders by Abdurrahîm Karahisârî (died after 1483). - A detailed handbook of Sufi ethics by 15th-century author Abdurrahîm Karahisârî (respectively by Muwaffaq ibn Majd al-Khāṣṣī) popular throughout the 16th and 17th centuries. - The author explains the principals of a Sufi's life in every respect with large explanations underlaid with citations from the Koran and Hadith.
