Short copy of a manuscript, content: Persian dictionary with Persian explanation written in the year 1062 [h.q.] [1651 or 1652] by Ibn-Ḫalaf Tabrīzī with the Taḫalluṣ Burhān on the orders of Sulṭān ʿAbdullāh Quṭb Šāh. - The words are arranged according to the alphabet of the first letter, like in European dictionaries. Completely in one volume. - Written in 1093 [h.q.] [1682], i.e. 31 years after the original was completed. - Enclosed is a copy of a part of the article 'Review of the Borhāni Kātā' (5 pages) printed in the 'Annals of Oriental Literature' London 1820 in 8 part II, p. 354 ff. - On the last page is the horoscope of one on 26 Rabīʿ II 1228 [h.q.] [28. April 1813], contents: enclosed 2 sheets of bibliographic notes in Persian on various dictionaries, as: Farhang-i Jahāngīrī, Farhang-i Sorūrī, Muntaḫab al-luġāt, Farhang-i Rašīdī, Burhān-i Qaṭīʿ, Ṣarāh, Kašf-i al-luġāt, Kanz-i al-luġāt, Qāmūs, script: Nasḫī, equipment: cotton paper, old signature: Quatremère 49, BSB provenance: Étienne Quatremère (1782-1857)
