And where you look at your ego / there you look, as a stranger other, remaining on your horizon, staring at you, provoking you with his clever, sarcastic smile, with his coldness and carelessness, his innocence and cohesion... He threatens you with scandal and gives you the choice between it and oblivion, since forgetting is a failed virtue, and forgetting is an impossible hope. Writing is a game of forgetting, and it is playing with forgetting at the same time. What writing brings through language from the past must remove to a greater extent facts that remain in the margins of oblivion... what we believe to be of no importance... what is not worth remembering... and also what we cannot bear to recall, what we hide deeply, what we are ashamed of, what we fear, what creates our shame, what confuses us, what harms our narcissism and arrogance, etc., Etc.. -- Bibliography: p. 255-260.
